Writing a website in Next.js without knowing anything about it

The journey of a backend engineer vibe coding a frontend.

My logical side has always been stronger than my creative one. Even within computer science, I gravitated toward languages like Python or C++ and complex algorithms rather than design or frontend development. Still, part of me always dreamed of creating a visual experience from scratch — something to share and interact with others.

But I never had the opportunity or the motivation, and I ultimately became a backend engineer with little exposure to frontend development.

Today, in the era of coding agents, building something new from scratch with limited knowledge has never been so easy. Claude Code in particular had already been helping me with daily work tasks with great success — but those were areas I was already familiar with. This time I wanted to try a larger project, in a stack completely unknown to me, writing as little code myself as possible. The result is this website.

I'll keep improving it and sharing stories along the way — but this already feels like a clear success.
